iMedia is our web-based database of all relevant creative execution, which has appeared in traditional and new media from 1997 onwards; it is updated on a daily basis. Despite the fact there are currently more than 250,000 adverts in the database, there is no squeeze on our clients' storage space, since the data is stored on the TNS media intelligence servers. Users simply log on and download the creative material over the Internet.
As might be expected, the structure of the iMedia TNS media intelligence database allows searches to be made according to a wide range of criteria: the media type, market segment, advertiser, brand, date, slogan or keywords in the spot text, or any combination of these. Search results can be displayed or downloaded in image or text format.
Every piece of creative material is stored once in the program, with the date and support where TNS media intelligence first recorded it. If a given advertiser reuses an old piece of creative material after some months or years, then the subsequent placement of the same ad is not included in iMedia. Instead, this software primarily focuses on the analysis of creative material; in order to receive information about media strategy or subsequent placement of a previously used advertisement, we recommend AdexNet or the weekly activity listings.
